Cambodian business visa — how to apply
Opening an ABA Bank account requires that you already hold an approved Cambodian business visa. Apply for it first: you cannot order the service until the approval letter has arrived, and the application takes about three business days.
The four steps
- Go to https://www.evisa.gov.kh/, the official portal of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Scan your passport and fill in the information.
- Confirm your details and pay the visa fee.
- Receive your approval letter within 3 business days.

How you know it was approved
An e-mail arrives from evisa.gov.kh with the subject “e-Visa Approval”, carrying your approval letter. That mail is what you confirm at checkout, so keep it — nobody but you can see it.
A single-entry E visa costs 35 USD plus the portal's service fee, is valid for three months and allows a stay of one month.
What if the visa is refused?
It can happen — a visa is never guaranteed. That risk costs you 35 USD and nothing more. Apply for the visa first and order the account only once the approval letter has arrived: if it is approved, you carry straight on with opening the Cambodian bank account, and if it is refused, the 35 USD visa fee is the whole of what you have lost.
